Are you a dreamer or an achiever?

I want you to visualise your goal, how do you describe your goal? One day I want to ‘Have a nice healthy smile’ or do you say ‘this is day one of my new healthier smile’ The difference between one day and day one is discussed in by Dr.Ruth Gotian in Forebs where she comments on the idea that the verbal difference in day one or one day set’s high achievers and dreamers apart.
Are you a dreamer or an achiever?
Some choose to set time frames around goals, the first couple of pages of The 28 Day Smile talks about defining an end date to completing the program rather than a start date.
A task will take the length of time that you give it.
Let’s say you have 365 days to do your Christmas shopping? Do you go out on December the 26th then sit back stress free for the next 12 months safe in the knowledge that you can relax and enjoy the following festive seasons.

Perhaps you are amongst the 10% of shoppers who start the seasons’s purchases during July or you thrive on the pressure that comes with shopping on the 24th of December? Whichever shopping suits you, does not determine who you are. You may agree in principle that being eager to have all your cards written and parcel’s wrapped by mid February is a truly great idea. Yet each and every year you find yourself in department stores up and down the UK searching for that perfect WOW factor present. Either way I’m sure you get the parcels to Santa on time, and to be honest that’s the only thing that matters, actually completing the task.
Can you be a dreamer and an achiever?
Remember every gold medal winner at the Olympics was only ever an olympian until the moment they crossed the finish line first. You to maybe a dreamer until you begin to achieve. I don’t believe that achievers don’t still have dreams, and that dreamers can’t achieve.

You get what you work for, sometimes it comes easily and natural, sometimes you have to work hard, resilience and the determination is what I believe matters most. Be your own motivation for wanting to achieve whatever dream it is that you have.

My dream is for The 28 Day Smile to be accessible to all; in different languages and formats. Some days I find this task easier than others, one thing for sure is that I will continue to dream, until I achieve.
